About AANZPA NSW/ACT

The AANZPA Branch for the NSW / ACT comprises of two region, based in Sydney, NSW and Canberra, ACT in Australia.

We are made up of a group of Psychodrama trainers, practitioners and trainees. Our branch has just started up again after a period of rest in order to rejuvenate. Our aim is to follow tradition hosting social and professional events. As a number of members have completed their training, we aim to keep members connected and provide opportunity for professional development outside of AANZPA training groups. Our Region is vast and we have members in major cities, as well as in smaller towns. Our challenge is to work towards supporting all those who wish to be connected with the warmth, wisdom and energy of the community.

The last AANZPA annual conference held in Sydney was in 2016.

Together with Psychodrama Australia, Training in Psychodrama is held in both Sydney and Canberra.

Practitioners and supervised trainees use the method in a variety of ways, including in schools, corporate and health environments and in private practice. Training also benefits personal development, spontaneity and connectivity, which in turn benefits wider society.
